Jeep Grand Wagoneer

There is no European twin. The model is not offered officially in Europe because of its size and its engines, so every Grand Wagoneer here is a private import from North America. That changes what this page can do: on the other models we compare the two versions, and here there is nothing to compare — only things to know.

The engine changes sharply after 2023, and that is the decision the buyer makes with the year. 2022 and 2023 run the 6.4 HEMI V8 with 471 hp and an eight-speed ZF. Every V8 we hold is from those two years — not one is newer. From 2024 Jeep retired the V8 entirely and the 3.0 Hurricane took its place, an inline six with two turbochargers and 510 hp in High Output form. Faster, more powerful and more economical than the old V8 — but technologically complex, with direct injection, and it will not take an ordinary LPG conversion. If your arithmetic runs through gas, the V8 years are the only years.

Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are different cars and are constantly confused. The plain Wagoneer is the more affordable version: the weaker Hurricane at 420 hp, conventional coil suspension, less chrome and a simpler interior — and in 2022 it ran the 5.7 HEMI, not the 6.4. We hold several times more of those than of the Grand. The Grand Wagoneer is the top: Quadra-Lift air suspension as standard, a black roof, an interior in real American walnut and Palermo leather. Both have extended L versions.

The size is decided before the purchase, not after. The standard car is 5.45 metres. The L is 5.76 — 31 centimetres longer, on a wheelbase 18 centimetres longer, and the boot behind the third row grows by nearly half. It is longer than a long-wheelbase S-class and it does not fit a standard Bulgarian parking space, which tops out at around five metres.

The interior is why people look for it. Up to seven screens totalling more than 75 inches. The front passenger has their own 10.25-inch screen with a coating that stops the driver seeing any of it. The second row gets two screens with Amazon Fire TV built in. The audio is McIntosh, 23 speakers, 1375 watts. On parts: body and suspension are ordered from the States, but the gearbox is a ZF and the air suspension can be refurbished in Bulgaria.
