Kia Telluride

There is no European version. The Telluride was created for North America and is assembled at West Point, Georgia. It is not offered officially in Europe because it is over five metres long and because Kia positions the electric EV9 in that slot here. So every Telluride on our roads is second hand from the United States or Canada, and there is no European twin to compare it with.

The first generation, 2019 to 2025, has exactly one engine: the 3.8 naturally aspirated Lambda II V6 with 291 hp and a conventional eight-speed automatic. Simple, long-lived and dependable, and despite the capacity it accepts a direct-injection LPG conversion — which matters here, because in town the car easily passes 14 to 15 litres. Almost everything we hold is precisely this engine.

The second generation throws the V6 out. The base becomes a 2.5 turbocharged four with 274 hp — more torque than the old V6, but harder to convert to gas. And the first hybrid Telluride appears, the 2.5 T-GDi Hybrid with 329 hp combined, self-charging, developed alongside the Hyundai Palisade, at around 7.5 to 8 litres in town for a car this size.

There is a hole in the years and it is not a gap in the data. Kia officially skipped model year 2026 in America and launched the new generation straight as a 2027 in early 2026. Our stock shows exactly that: cars up to 2025, then nothing, then 2027.

The upper trims are better equipped than many European premium brands — Nappa leather, heating and ventilation for the first and second rows, a twin panoramic roof. X-Line adds raised suspension, black accents and off-road software for the AWD system. X-Pro is the top with 23 cm of ground clearance, smaller wheels on all-terrain tyres and a higher towing capacity. And one practical point: the car is very wide and very long, so underground car parks take getting used to.
