The earlier cars, to 2017, carry a mechanical supercharger in the vee. It is durable, but it is a different machine to service from the turbocharged one after 2018 -- different parts, different heat, different repair. The year is not a cosmetic detail.

Both want good oil, because whatever is doing the forcing sits between the cylinder banks and works in the hottest place. Thin servicing is paid for exactly there.

Suspension on many American cars is the adaptive air S Sport package. A bag, a ride-height sensor or the compressor damaged in the impact is put right with genuine parts at a high price -- and auction photographs do not show whether the system is intact.
