The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA is listed with a salvage certificate and an auction primary-damage classification of “FRONT END.” Stage 1 reports that the visible severe front-end damage supports the auction’s front-end damage claim; however, the salvage certificate status cannot be confirmed from exterior photographs. Severe damage affects the front of the vehicle. The front bumper cover is broken and partially missing, the center grille is absent, and the left headlamp assembly is missing, leaving the radiator and other front-end components exposed. The hood is significantly deformed along its front and left edges, while the left front fender is crushed around the headlamp and wheel-arch area. The wheel-arch trim and liner are detached, and a lower bumper/trim section is hanging near the left front corner. Additional damage includes a dent and dark scuffing across the lower left front door and adjacent rocker area. The windshield has multiple cracks and impact marks across its lower and central sections. The driver’s steering-wheel airbag is deployed, and curtain-airbag fabric is hanging from the roof area. The vehicle should be considered a substantial collision-repair project.
