The left rear bumper and quarter-panel corner trim is missing. On the right side, both the front and rear doors have deep dents, sharp creases, and distorted lower sections. The adjacent rocker-area molding and lower sill trim are also displaced and damaged. Side-curtain airbags are visibly deployed on both sides of the passenger compartment, including along the left roof area and across the right/passenger-side roof and window area. Airbag replacement and inspection of the related restraint-system components will be required. A NHTSA recall applies to certain 2019–2023 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles potentially equipped with an original-equipment or Hyundai-dealer-installed trailer-hitch harness. Water accumulation in the harness module may cause an electrical short and fire. The recall remedy involves installation of a fuse and wire-extension kit as necessary.
